Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the KIKU app for iPhone ("the App") and the website kiku.fit ("the Site"). By using either one, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Using KIKU
KIKU is a personal alarm and habit app. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these terms and Apple's App Store terms. You must not reverse-engineer the App, misuse it, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
Alarms and reliability
KIKU schedules alarms with your iPhone's notification system. Whether an alarm rings can depend on things outside our control, including iOS settings, Focus modes, notification permissions, the ringer and volume, battery level, low power mode, and device or software faults. Please don't rely on KIKU as your only alarm for anything critical, such as a flight, a medical need or another time-sensitive commitment.
Physical missions: please be safe
Some missions ask you to exercise (like push-ups and squats) or move around (like stepping outside to photograph the sky). Only do what is safe for you. Use the "Switch to Math" option whenever a physical mission isn't right for you that day. If you have any health condition, check with a doctor before doing physical activity. You take part in missions at your own risk.
Content
Verses, affirmations and devotionals in KIKU are provided for personal reflection. Mission checks (rep counting and photo checks) are automated, run on your device, and may sometimes be wrong.
Intellectual property
The App, the Site and their content, including the KIKU name, logo, design and text, belong to KIKU and are protected by law. These terms don't give you any right to use our branding.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how KIKU handles data. In short, your data stays on your device.
Purchases
If KIKU ever offers paid features, they'll be sold through the App Store and covered by Apple's payment and refund terms. Prices and features will be shown clearly before you buy.
Disclaimer
KIKU is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any alarm will ring.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, KIKU won't be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses. That includes missed appointments, oversleeping, or injury from doing a mission. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using KIKU after an update, you accept the new terms.
